In my research, I focus on health-enhancing physical activity in women during phases of physiological changes, i.e. during the menopausal transition and now during pregnancy. During my Master’s project in 2015, I participated in an intervention study (Copenhagen Women Study) that tested the effects of physical activity on metabolic changes related to menopause. During my PhD-study I have been working on a randomized clinical intervention trial (The FitMum Study) testing effects of physical activity during pregnancy on physical activity level and health outcomes in mother and child.
