Professor Mette Rosenkilde will enter Independent Research Fund Denmark’s board from 1 January 2020

The Minister of Higher Education and Science Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen has appointed three new members of the board of Independent Research Fund Denmark as of 1 January 2020. Professor and Vice Head of Department for Research Mette Rosenkilde is one of the appointed members.

The other appointed members of the board are Professor Maja Horst, DTU and Vice President Ole Kirk, Novo Zymes A/S. The three new members of the board will replace Egon Bech Hansen, professor at National Food Institute, DTU, Jan Philip Solovej, professor at Department for Mathematical Sciences, UCPH and Tine Bryan Stensbøl, senior vice president at Lundbeck Pharma A/S.

The appointment is made based on personal characteristics after an open call and recommendation from the research communities. Together with the additional six members of the board, they will lead Independent Research Fund Denmark into 2020, where the fund will amongst other things, have to formulate a new three-year strategy.

Beginning on 1 January 2020, the new members will be part of the board for four years with a possibility for extension for 2 years.
