Inaugural Lecture for Professor Signe Sørensen Torekov

Inaugural Lecture

On 10 May, Professor Signe Sørensen Torekov will have her inaugural lecture in the Holst Auditorium followed by a reception in Faculty Club (16.6).

The Department would like to invite you to celebrate the appointment of Professor Signe Sørensen Torekov with an inaugural lecture entitled “Obesity – how to maintain a healthy bodyweight?". The lecture will take place at 15:00. After the lecture, a reception will be held in Faculty Club (16.6).

On 1 February, Signe Sørensen Torekov was appointed Professor with special responsibilities within clinical translational metabolism at Department of Biomedical Sciences.

Below you can read a short description of what the inaugural lecture will be about: 
Signe Torekov will give a lecture on obesity and her research of the biological mechanisms of maintained healthy weight loss in humans. The overall focus of her research is to understand the complex metabolic mechanism to sustained health in humans along with the link between metabolic and cardiac disease.
