See which researchers at the Department of Biomedical Sciences who have received grants the last couple of months
Associate Professor Morten Bækgaard Thomsen has received DKK 360,000 from the Innovation Fund Denmark for financing of industrial PhD student Louise Lindbjerg Thisted in collaboration with the organisation Gubra in Hørsholm. The grant includes 44 % overhead/administrations fee.
PhD student Simon Veedfald has received DKK 580,000 for the project “The effect of neurotensin on appetite and food intake”. The project is carried out in collaboration with Jens Juul Holst’s group and Hvidovre Hospital. The grant of DKK 580,000 is distributed so that DKK 100,000 is given by the Beckett Foundation and DKK 480,000 is given by Læge Sofus Carl Emil Friis og Hustru Olga Doris fond. In addition, Simon has received DKK 100,000 from the Augustinus Foundation for his exchange stay at the University of Adelaide, Australia. The funds does not include overhead/administrations fee.
Professor Flemming Dela has received DKK 2,350,000 from the Capital Region of Denmark (Copenhagen Health Science Partners) for the project “Physical Activity and Sports in Clinical Medicine”. The project is carried out in collaboration with researchers from Science among others.
BMI has received a supplementary grant for the PhD educational programme which BMI and SUND have with the Danish Research Fund and the organisation Nordic Bioscience. The grant is on DKK 1,650,000 and covers a fully funded PhD student. The total programme then contains a total of 11 PhD students, all registered at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The grant includes 10 % overhead/administration fee.
