New grants, February 2016

See which researchers at the Department of Biomedical Sciences who have received grants the last couple of months.

Professor Jens Juul Holst and co-applicant Postdoc Berit Svendsen have received DKK 3 million from the Novo Nordisk Foundation for the project "Dissection of the mechanisms underlying secretion of appetite- and metabolism-regulating hormones from the gut".

Lonnie Grove has received a postdoc grant of DKK 2,680,589 from the Danish Council for Independent Research for the project "Mechanisms for regulation of pressure and perfusion of the brain: new countermeasures and treatment prospective".

Professor Michael Davies has received DKK 493,920 from the Committee on Exploratory Pre-seed Grants of the Novo Nordisk Foundation for the project “Novel seleno sugars as modulators of inflammation and tissue damage”.

PhD student Nicolai Wewer Albrechtsen has received an Elite Research Travel Grant of DKK 200,000 kr. from the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science.

Associate professor Bo Hjorth Bentzen has received DKK 60,000 from the Carlsberg foundation for the conference "Ion Channel Symposium 2016".
