Olga Giakouminaki

Postdoc

Olga Giakouminaki is a Postdoctoral Researcher, working on the PurpLE Project at the Center for Private Governance at the University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Law. Her research focuses on the tension between private law and public procurement law and its impact on the sustainable objectives that the latter aims to serve. Prior to joining the University of Copenhagen, she was a teaching assistant at the Sciences Po University in Paris. 

Olga has read law in Greece (LLB - Democritus University of Thrace), and in France (Master 2 in Public Law, University of Aix Marseille and Master 2 in European and Public Business Law - University of Paris 1 - Pantheon Sorbonne). Her PhD thesis (University Paris - Pantheon Assas) addressed the administrative dimension of EU public procurement law. Her PhD has been awarded the Paris Assas Prize. 

Visiting Doctoral Student at the Lund University (2020), Graduate Visiting Researcher at the Institute of European and Comparative Law,  University of Oxford (2018-2020), intern at the European Court of Justice (2017), she has lectured at several Universities in Frannce, in the UK and in Sweden. 

Admitted to both Paris and Athens bar, she has also worked as a public procurement lawyer in both cities. 

At the University of Copenhagen, she is a Teaching Assistant of EU law.
