Det Strategiske Forskningsråd
The major funding for the past 3 years has been a grant from Det Strategiske Forskningsråd  (4 Mkr out of 16.5 Mkr) on fetal programming coordinated by our group. EU funding (2.4 Mkr) via a partnership of a 5 year EU network of excellence, BioSim. In addition, we have received a number of smaller grants.

Forskningsrådet for Sundhed og Sygdom
Currently, we have become part of a 5 year program (start january 10) establishing a center for fetal programming, continuing the above project. We have received a 3 year grant (2.6 Mkr) from Forskningsrådet for Sundhed og Sygdom (start jan 10) on mitochondrial phenotype during diabetes type 2.

Key collaborators
The key collaborators with the current funding are: Jacob Bo Hansen, Peter Thams, Nils Billestrup and Jens Høiriis Nielsen (of our department), related to projects on fetal programming. Sune Danø and Mads F Madsen (Topsoe Fuelcells) on regulation of glycolysis and Niels H. Secher (Anaesthesia RH) on brain energy metabolism.
