Laboratory of Experimental Cardiology
Structure of the group
The Laboratory of Experimental Cardiology is headed by Associate Professor Jørgen K. Kanters and consists of 3 senior scientists, and 2 graduate and undergraduate students.
The laboratory is located in Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen. The group is part of the Danish Arrhythmia Research Center (DARC) that aims at clarifying mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmia.
The research of our group is concerned with signal analysis of electrocardiographic signals and inherited arrhythmias. The laboratory has specialized on the study of Long QT syndrome and has an outpatient clinic in cooperation with Dept. of Cardiology, Gentofte University Hospital.
