Why a Center for Medical Research Methodology?
Development of novel drugs to meet the demand from patients suffering from common, complex, chronic diseases is a major challenge to modern society. Direct and indirect costs caused by these diseases are increasing burdens for affected individuals and health economies.
Thus, society, patients, academia and industry have a common interest in effective and rapid dissemination and exploitation of knowledge and technologies generated in the chain of discovery of new treatments.
However, the focus and concentration of many different competences are required in order to develop innovative research methodologies to promote this process and this is the reason why the Centre for Medical Research Methodology (CMRM) has been set up.
